Hi! I'm Marlies (pronounced Mar-lease) Hager, and I'm a sophomore Chemistry and German double major at Trinity University. I'm from Denver, Colorado, and I absolutely hate humidity, but don't ask me why I came to Texas because I'm not even sure myself. I love living in Colorado for so many reasons; I love the outdoors and the mountains, I snowboard, I know my directions only because I know that the mountains are always to the west, and, last but definitely not least, I absolutely love the Colorado Rockies. I've been a huge Rockies fan since their inaugural season in 1993, and last year, when they went to the World Series, I flew home just to be a part of the experience. Granted, they lost...but hey, it was still the most exciting experience ever!
As far as Trinity goes, like I said, I'm a Chemistry and German double major. I did chemistry research at TU this summer with Dr. Urbach, and loved it! I'm also in ALD, the chemistry club, and the orchestra here at Trinity. I'm glad to be taking this class because I don't know much about computers other than how to use Word and the internet, and only the basics in both of those. I'm especially excited to learn more about Excel and spreadsheets, because I know it will be really useful for my major.
Email me at mhager@trinity.edu if you have any questions!

Welcome to the class! Nice to meet you. Make sure that you include your e-mail address like the instructions asked.
The Trinity Chemistry department is great, Marlies - Dr. Mills is a friend as are some of the retired professors like Dr. Kurtin. You will fit right in and excel, I'm sure.
My husband is from Pueblo, so I know why you love the area so much - welcome to the class.
Ms. Belisle
Hi Marlies, thanks for your comment on my blog. I believe that Colorado must be a beautiful place! I always hope that there is a mountain near my home in Taiwan. And interestingly, climate here is dry to me, because Taiwan’s weather is very humid!
Hi Marlies, yeah the school I went to had half the classes in french and the other half in english. most of switzerland speaks german so I'm sure you'd like it.
